Vaccine Fundraiser Volunteers
Okay, now that the fundraiser for the Indiana Immunization Coalition is actually going to happen, we're going to need some people to volunteer to watch the table in shifts so we can all enjoy the con while we work to raise money for vaccination. Anyone interested?
Re: Vaccine Fundraiser Volunteers
can you post a schedule? It would be easier for me to see if I can help out.
Re: Vaccine Fundraiser Volunteers
There's a preliminary schedule of events at genconskeptics.com. The fundraiser itself is going all day every day and we have to have someone manning the booth at all times (I'm going to put more details about the fundraiser up in a bit). I honestly don't mind running it as often as I need to, but I do need to step out for my own talks and meals and stuff.
Re: Vaccine Fundraiser Volunteers
I'll try to man the booth when I can, but I've got a lot on my plate at GenCon as it is. I'm the producer of the Dragonlance Canticle podcast, so I'll need to be covering D&D announcements and talks, and I still want to, y'know, game and shop and hang out.
Re: Vaccine Fundraiser Volunteers
Exactly my dilemma. I want to do all those things, too (minus the DnD podcast). Don't worry; I have the word out at a lot of places and we'll be getting lots of plugs in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully we'll get some more volunteers soon.
Re: Vaccine Fundraiser Volunteers
The family area is outside the dealer's room, right? So we could grab local skeptics who wouldn't even have to buy a badge to man the table some. Have you contacted these folks? If not, I could do that.

Re: Vaccine Fundraiser Volunteers
Unfortunately, no. It's deep within the exhibit hall. The booth is apparently on one of the main drags by a couple of the big vendors.
What I need to do is ask about free badges for our booth workers.
